Job description (overview)

Design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. Ensuring the seamless integration and efficient operation of electrical components, control systems, and sensors within the FOWT infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing electrical and instrumentation designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for system integration, conducting risk assessments, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Specialization or coursework in renewable energy or offshore engineering is a plus.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in electrical systems design, instrumentation, and control systems, with exposure to offshore or marine environments.

Hard Skills

  • Expertise in electrical systems design and integration for floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) platforms, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and sensor technologies used for monitoring and control of offshore wind turbine operations, including SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of electrical grid integration, power conversion systems, and energy storage solutions relevant to offshore wind energy.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as instrumentation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with international standards and regulations governing electrical systems and safety practices in offshore environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB, and with Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with design software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar, as well as simulation tools for electrical systems analysis.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese communication (verbal and written).
